    Rudy Vistel was born in Santiago de Cuba (Cuba), in 1952 in an artists family and his father was a well-known trumpet player,conductor and composer who was his first maestro in the musical art.
When he was 10 he was accepted at Conservatorio Esteban Salas starting his studies in trumpet and music language and in 1964, at the age of 12, he was recognized as the youngest partner of the General Association of music Authors in Cuba.
In 1972 he was selected to be part of the one of the 1st orchestras in Cuba, called La Orquesta de Musica Moderna de Oriente, performing and touring Cuba in some of the top fests like A. Guzman Fest, The music composer Fest, Fest of the records, bilateral agreements between USA-Cuba, etc. comping prestigious international and national soloists, recording several albums, touring the international music scene and being named 2nd conductor of the Orchestra.
During 1980 he was the art director and producer of Cuban record EGREM doing a lot of records like for example the recognized “Sones de Oriente” from the famous Buena Vista Social Club Eliades Ochoa, his personal close friend.
He was recommended to create the radio orchestra of his town being music director, conductor and in charge of the orchestrations during many years and also being music dtor. of the Theather company for children called “Guiñol”, composing and arranging the music and obtaining the “Mascara de Caoba” prize winner with one of his melodies. During that period of time the School of Musical Highs for musicians and artists was formed and he was selected as Master prof. of the Music Language Training Dept.
In 1982 he formed the well-known orchestra called JALEO doing several tours in Cuba and recording 3 great music albums, showing as one of the most recognized and popular at radio and TV Shows, sharing events with another major famous orchestras from all over the country.
In 1986 he moved to La Habana, the capital city, to be the musical director of the artists company “Adolfo Guzman” and lead trumpet player of famous high class cabarets Tropicana and Capri.
During 1988 he formed the new orchestra Cinquillo Cubano exploring and exploting the instrumental music doing luxury events and touring in several international tours.
Since 1994 he is based in Spain when he was hired by the “Teatro Alcazar de Madrid” with the top Cuban show Antologia de Bolero, hiting the Spanish capital city and touring the country like at Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, sharing stage with famous artists like Django, Moncho, Manzanero, Los Panchos, Maria Dolores Pradera, etc.
From Spain he did a lot of presentations with national and international 1st class projects and artists like Celia Cruz, touring the European continent and also conducting several orchestras in Spain.
In 1998 he collaborated as trumpet player and arranger in the CD production “Un pez en mi maleta”, from the Zaragoza group Los Especialistas and in 1999 he recorded and arranged the brass section in the album of the famous Enrique Bunbury (vocalist of Heroes del Silencio).
With his new Latin Jazz Big Band and sextet he participated in many important jazz festivals and music seasons like at Auditorio de Zaragoza (Zaragoza Int. Jazz Fest).
Las years he was selected and named in charge of conduct, arrange and play with the famous BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB SHYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA Project, touring major fests and events around Europe featuring the famous singer star OMARA PORTUONDO, conducting his orchestrations with some of the most important shymphony orchestras like Roma Sinfonietta (Italia), Orquesta Sinfonica de Murcia(España), Budapest Shymphony Orchestra (Hungary), etc.
